Simone Biles

Simone Biles (born March 14 1997 Columbus Ohio U.S.) American gymnast, who was regarded as one of the sport's greatest athletes. The 2016 Olympics took place in Rio de Janeiro and Biles became the U.S.'s first female gymnast to be awarded four gold medals. Biles also took home the world championship for all-around three times consecutively (2013-15). Biles was raised in Spring Texas in the Houston metropolitan area following the time she and her younger sister Adria had been adopted by parents Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone was introduced to gymnastics by her daycare instructor Aimee Borman, when she was six years old. She stayed at Bannon's Gymnastix for 11 years. Biles was awarded a silver medal in vault in 2010 and also a bronze at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships. Then she moved on to elite-level competitions in 2011. Within two years, she been the best in this particular event. Biles was distinguished by her consistency in performance, vivacious character, as well as the difficulty she encountered across each of the four events including vault, uneven bars, and balance beam.
